Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the custodial staff in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the facility
• Perform industrial cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Ensure proper maintenance of floors by buffing, waxing, and polishing
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized cleaning services
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require attention or repairs
• Address any maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
• Train new custodial staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for staff and visitors
• Perform special / seasonal tasks such as leaf or snow removal
• Log and report work orders and assignments
• Fill other reports regarding supplies, customer requests, safety, training, etc.
• Understand and enforce company and building policies
• Maintain company technology and security, such as company phones and key cards
• Take over for site manager when needed

Requirements :

• Previous experience in a custodial or facilities maintenance role
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation
• Ability to effectively manage a team of custodial staff
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to custodial work
