Job Summary
The Transportation Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and data management to assist the operation of the transportation department, as well as provide software support.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for collecting data, cleaning data, verifying data integrity, and providing administrative support
Perform various mathematical calculations to determine how data may best be applied to profit the organization and meet customer needs
Maintain system integrity with detailed analysis & a high level of data accuracy
Compile data from multiple systems to develop ad hoc reports to support business opportunities
Manage reporting functionality by streamlining existing reports & developing additional metrics
Assist with setting up pricing in our TMS and specific pricing setups and changes
Assist with setting up carrier accounts and profiles in our TMS, as well as troubleshoot any pricing issues in our TMS
Works closely with our TMS to define, develop, and implement reporting needs
Manages rate quote e-mail box and provides benchmark rates as requested
Qualifications
Experience required:
2 years analyst experience
Experience desired:
Use of ERP/TMS/Excel
Business experience transportation
Gathering requirements from stakeholders & acting as the liaison for technical teams
Lean/continuous improvement
Change management
Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Preferred bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or supply chain or related discipline or equivalent
Advanced knowledge & experience using MS Excel; working knowledge of Power BI
Strong analytical & computer skills; ability to collate data from numerous internal & external sources
Ability to create reporting & presentations
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills - ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated drive and initiative to identify and deliver OpEx improvements.
