Performs neurodiagnostic procedures under the supervision of the senior staff and physicians. As advanced competencies are completed, the technician may perform more advanced procedures (neonatal EEG, EP, ICU-LTM). This position trains to become a technologist in all aspects of neurodiagnostic procedures. Completion of ABRET registry in one or more of the modalities will be a requirement of the position based on time and experience upon hire. Technicians hired into this position must complete the registry process in one of these modalities within 24 months of hire. If the candidate has completed a CAHEEP-approved program, then they will have 12 months to complete the registry process in one of the modalities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school graduate.
• 2 to 4 years of college preferred but not required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-approved END training program highly desirable. If candidate does not have college, then on-the-job training position at a large teaching hospital with demonstrated competencies may be considered.
• Clinical health care experience of at least one year required. Graduation from a CAAHEP-approved END training will be considered equivalent to one year of work experience.
• Ideal candidate must be a highly self-motivated and able to work alone with minimal direction.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Healthcare Provider BLS – American Heart, American Red Cross.
