Management and supervision of a team of professional and paraprofessional employees that are accountable for providing competent care and achieving optimal client outcomes. The Supervisor of Patient Care focuses on practice standards, appropriate utilization of services and compliance with regulations and company policies. Responsible for ensuring that there is an appropriate match between client needs and the skills and abilities of the care team assigned to each case. Directs scheduling activities to guarantee consistency of caregiver assignments and coordination of the services being provided. Utilized knowledge of business objectives and marketplace needs to proactively identify staffing requirements and initiate the hiring of clinically proficient caregivers who will be available to fill all appropriate requests for service.
Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire.
  • All nurses hired after July 1, 2014 without a BSN will be required to obtain a BSN within three years of hire.
  • All nurses hired after July 1, 2014 without a professional nursing board certification will be required to obtain a professional nursing board certification after two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years of experience.
• Basic knowledge of government, government home health agency regulations, Medicare/Medicaid regulations and policies and procedures required.
• Nursing practice must include three to five years of progressively responsible nursing practice, including recent experience and one to two years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of computer utilization.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Registered nurse in the state of Florida.
