Responsible for providing nutrition education to UF Health Jacksonville employees through group classes, educational lectures, individual consults, electronic communications, educational materials, and other methods as needed. Assesses the target population and identifies resources necessary to meet the self-management educational needs. Participates in planning, implementation and/or evaluation of wellness programs, including diabetes education. Develops new programs based on research and measureable outcomes. Creates and maintains website and courses for Healthstream
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree. Specific course work: Food and Nutrition from an accredited university.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree
Necessary Skills:
1. Knowledge of normal and therapeutic dietetics, rationale for diet therapy and nutrition intervention.
2. Advanced interpersonal skills
3. Ability to work independently and multi-task
4. Strong computer skills including MS Office products with emphasis on PowerPoint
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
6. Diabetes Self-Management Education.
7. Experience using technology and social media components for program promotion
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Registered Dietitian (RD) Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
State of Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist (LD/N) license required within 6 months of date of hire/transfer.
Required Experience:
1-2 years clinical, outpatient, educator setting
Preferred Experience:
