The Associate Vice President Nursing is responsible for leading and providing strategic direction to all Nursing Units/Services in their assigned area of responsibility.

Required Education:
Master's degree.
Preferred Education:
MSN
Necessary Skills:
1. Proven relationship building.
2. Seasoned, professional with excellent verbal and written skills for communication with all levels of hospital staff and other outside agencies.
3. Demonstrates sound fiscal management in working with large budgets.
4. Proven professional judgement and decision-making skills under pressure and with multiple competing priorities
5. Excellent ability to adapt to new situations, set priorities and utilize problem-solving techniques with minimal direction.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
ANCC approved professional certification required
Required Experience:
Over 5 years progressive nursing experience with a minimum of five years at a management level.
Preferred Experience:
Previous Director and/or CNO experience
Experience with the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program
