UF Health Flagler Hosptial is Hiring a Manager of Clinical Informatics, Full-time Near Saint Augustine, FL

Provides leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of electronic documentation. Accountable for strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of needs-based computer systems that support clinical practice and regulatory requirements. Provides oversight for the coordination, development, and evaluation of applications systems and assigned specialty programs. Provides leadership to achieve the organization’s mission of excellent patient care and setting a new standard of excellence, committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.

  • Monitors, reports and improves service, communication, and operational performance between clinical informatics, application analysts, and IT application users.
  • Provide information proactively and feedback promptly to ensure success of clinical information systems.
  • Lead the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of electronic documentation systems to ensure alignment with clinical practice and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the coordination, development, and evaluation of application systems and specialty programs to enhance patient care and organizational effectiveness.
  • Anticipate future system changes and collaborate with clinical groups to support application upgrades and improvements.
  • Proactively identify and implement cost-saving strategies while consistently meeting budget deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing opportunities for staff development, education, certification, and career growth.
  • Offer leadership and expertise to boost project success and enhance patient outcomes through innovative approaches.
  • Encourage staff growth and development through training, certification, and career advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure optimal resource utilization and data security while achieving strategic objectives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

This position is salary/exempt.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • FL licensed Registered Nurse
  • 5 years experience of one or a combination of the following: healthcare experience, EMR system experience (EPIC preferred), training and education development, project management, programming/coding, technical problem solving, and system implementation coordination.
