UF Health Central Florida is Hiring an Operating Room Technician Near Leesburg, FL
Job Opening Summary
The hospital is part of UF Health Central Florida, a not-for-profit health care system and the largest, most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. UF Health Central Florida provides inpatient acute hospital services at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and UF Health The Villages® Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation services at UF Health Rehab Hospital - The Villages, and diagnostic laboratory services at several locations. We take pride in providing progressive, innovative technology, along with building strong relationships with patients, families, physicians and residents of the communities we serve.
Under the direction of the director/manager/charge nurse and RNs, the surgical technologist is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases. This position will work Monday - Friday, 6:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and requires on-call after hours and weekends for urgent/emergent cases.
Job Opening Qualifications
Education:
- Post-high school special training
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Surgical technology certification preferred and strongly encouraged within 2 years of employment.
- BLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
Shift hours: 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m., Monday-Friday
