UF Health Central Florida is Hiring a Lead Sterile Processing Technician Near The Villages, FL
Job Opening Summary
The sterile processing technician, under the direction of the unit charge nurse, collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Maintains code carts, chest carts and urology carts. Cleans hospital-wide equipment as needed.
Job Opening Qualifications
Education- High school diploma/GED
- Certification in either surgery technology required.
- Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program required.
- 2-5 years of central service, surgery or patient care work experience is required.
- Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
Shift hours: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday-Friday
