Description
As an RF Test Technician, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform standard testing processes on a variety of our products and analyze the results. You'll be responsible for performing test and fault isolation on our systems and equipment to ensure conformance with our product specifications. You'll work closely with engineering teams and provide recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks, or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. Primary Responsibilities:
Along with testing and troubleshooting of electronic hardware and systems, the Technician will also be responsible for the following:
Assist the department supervisor with establishing priorities to maintain production schedules to support program milestones and delivery requirements.
Responsible for the organization, efficiency and cleanliness of the production test floor
Assist the department supervisor in ensuring that all documentation is the current released revision; conduct audits on a regular basis to check documentation revisions against current working procedures.
Applying continuous process improvement principles to improve cycle-time, throughput and overall efficiency in the production and testing areas.
Assist and oversee the design of special test equipment, fixtures, and test set-ups.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure that all special test equipment is calibrated to support test demand.
Follow and develop Test Procedures and instructions for the completion of the assigned tasks.
Effectively communicate questions, issues, and ideas that pertain to the work environment.
Requirements
Must-haves:
Familiarity with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
Familiarity with test concepts and techniques, and test standard lab equipment.
Electronics Troubleshooting
Knowledge of Measurement parameters such as Gain, Average, and Peak Power, ACP, Efficiency, and knowledge to set up equipment to test each parameter.
A high degree in test integrity.
U.S Citizenship is required for ITAR requirements.
Preferred:
Associate degree or higher in a STEM Field of Study
RF testing and troubleshooting experience
Experience with: Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, RF Signal Generators, Power Meters
