Udelhoven Oilfield System Services is Hiring a Mechanical / General Superintendent Near Anchorage, AK

Job Title:Mechanical/General Superintendent

Reports to: Mechanical Project Manager

Salary Range: $60 - $65 Hourly

What You Will Do:

This project-based position for project planning and execution phase focused on oversight and manage all different mechanical and general operations. The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for safety, drawing interpretation, quality, subcontractor coordination, and the overall installation of mechanical work. The Superintendent will be responsible for having intimate knowledge of the scope(s) of work for the subcontracts under his/her jurisdiction, as well as a general knowledge of the overall scope of the project.

Essential Duties:
Particular responsibilities may vary from project to project; however, they essentially include:

· Lead by example and adhere to standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and comply with the UOSS requirements. Coach personnel on safety observation and hazard identification.

· Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

· Oversee and direct mechanical technicians in plan inspection, commissioning support and troubleshooting of mechanical (statics, rotating and packaging) equipment for UOSS facilities. Inspect work for quality. Performance manage as appropriate. Facilitate various training sessions and assurance of worker competency.

· Manage and provide daily / weekly reports to the Commissioning Manager and raise any concerns that may affect handover in line with the project sub - system delivery schedule

· Represent mechanical commissioning activities when interfacing with Construction and monitor contractors' mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities (rotating equipment).

· Organize resources to conduct walks downs as required representing the Mechanical STO commissioning discipline.

· Approved completion of the Mechanical commissioning check sheets.

· Oversee and lead vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and start up activities.

· Lead the execution of Mechanical commissioning packages.

· Oversees preservation for the mechanical and package equipment.

· Sign-off and approved logbooks of recorded commissioning and operational events.

· Approved and oversees preservation plans for the I&C and package equipment.

What You Will Need (minimum qualifications):

Formal Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical related field preferred

Experience:

  • Experienced professional conversant with Oil and Gas Commissioning processes and operation.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the oil and gas industry and capital projects.
  • Minimum 10 years' oil and gas industry experience in in Hook - up & Commissioning projects.
  • Alaska Journeyman Plumbers License (Preferred)
  • Experience in design and commissioning.
  • Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and achieve project goals and milestones.
  • Ability to produce of detailed technical procedures, documents and work instruction and reports.
  • Good understanding of Completions Management System methods and workflow, combined with an ability to fit design to deliverable.
  • Conversant with relevant international standards and Client Codes or Practice and their application to the Completions process.
  • Demonstrated Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills across multiple employee levels and outside stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
