UCP of Long Island is Hiring a Director of Nursing (OPWDD) Near Hauppauge, NY
United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is seeking a Director of Nursing for their Residential and Adult Day Services. Responsible for the coordination and oversight of the clinical practice of nursing for the agencies programs and services.
Specific responsibilities include:
Organizes plans and directs nursing functions and activities throughout the agency.
Develops objectives, rules and regulations and policies and procedures of nursing care services.
Establishes, implements, monitors, evaluates and revises the Nursing Quality Assurance Plan.
Ensures compliance with nursing care standards established commissions, federal, state and local regulatory agencies and adherence to institutional objectives and policies pertaining to nursing administration.
Education and Experience:
BSN or Masters degree in Nursing required.
Licensed in NYS as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 10 years progressive leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary.
OPWDD experience a plus.
