General Responsibilities
This position will ensure the overall quality of life of individuals served includes meaningful activities daily and making recommendations to QIDP and other members of the clinical team; conduct complete and timely investigations into allegations of abuse, neglect, and/or injuries of unknown origin to include collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses and reconciling conflicting evidence, and make recommendation to prevent recurrences; review respite applications, screens prospective candidates, maintains and updates respite schedule as needed.
Performs investigations as well as preparing reports, collecting, trending and analyzing data, researching statistical information and reporting issues as needed to external agencies as required by law.
Ensures all incidents are filed, investigated and reviewed by the Incident Review Committee in a timely manner.
Conducts training to all staff on compliance issues regarding abuse, neglect or exploitation and reporting of same.
Ensures incidents are filed, investigated and presented to the committee for review.
Maintains ongoing records of all respite services provided.
Ensures that all individuals served have the adaptive equipment needed and ensures all equipment is in working order.
Ensures continuity of services/adaptive equipment between Residence/Outside Programs.
Functions as member of Interdisciplinary Team facilitate communication with clinical and direct support staff.
Acts as liaison between Service Coordinator, Parents and other stakeholders to ensure effective respite services.
Maintain knowledge of OPWDD regulations pertaining to all aspects of job responsibilities by attending trainings, obtaining certifications and reviewing regulations.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to six months related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
