Under the leadership of the CMO, the staff psychiatrist is an integral part of the clinic staff, providing expertise in behavioral and mental health. Integration of behavioral health in the primary care setting is a model Venice Family Clinic has adopted for many years; offering counseling, individual and group therapy, as well as psychiatric care to manage mild to moderate mental illnesses. The staff psychiatrist serves as the bridge in creating collaborative and comprehensive care for patient struggling with significant mental health challenges and symptoms. The staff psychiatrist works cooperatively with all Clinic departments including staff clinicians, SUMMIT staff (our harm reduction substance use program) and Behavioral Health staff. The staff psychiatrist provides clinical oversight and consultation to psychiatry residents from UCLA and VAH as well as a staff nurse practitioner who provides psychiatric care. The position requires flexibility in work location and in days and hours for clinical care, as some evening are included in the weekly schedule. Spanish language competency is preferred. Salary Range: $250,000-$330,000
