DescriptionIn this role, you will provide support to oncology patients who are seeking cancer-directed therapy. The primary focus of the nurse includes, but is not limited to symptom management, education regarding disease process, advance care planning discussions, provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones, and partner with oncology nurse practitioners to triage and identify patients with palliative care needs. The incumbent works collaboratively with an intradisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners and social workers. Major functions include patient screening and assessment, patient evaluation, patient communication, preparation and administration of intravenous drugs, immunizations, and patient education. Salary range: $59.46/hr - $88.39/hr
