DescriptionThe Semel Institute is seeking to hire a full time Staff Research Associate I to assist the project team in their aims to expand and improve the delivery of substance use disorder treatment. In this role you may also support the project team evaluating California’s Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System Waiver, which is a State funded contract with the objective of evaluating the impact of a major overhaul to the state’s substance use disorder treatment system. The projects involve both quantitative and qualitative data methods. Specific tasks include: * Conduct literature reviews and generate summaries of literature searches. * Assist with the design and provide feedback on data capture tools. * Assist in scheduling and transcribing key informant interviews and other required research/evaluation support activities. * Assist in the development and management of web-based surveys (e.g., on Qualtrics or Survey Monkey). * Assist with data entry of surveys and interviews and maintaining files related to data entry. * Code open-ended questions using previously developed codes. * Assist in identifying and correcting data errors. * Assist with compiling information from monthly/quarterly data collection into meeting agendas for ongoing discussion toward reporting. * Assist with supervision/guidance in basic data analysis using SPSS or other statistical software. * Prepare tables, figures, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Knowledge of California’s substance use disorder treatment system and ability to work with program administrators in the field is highly desirable. Pay Range: $25.75 - $30.71 hourly.
