Position description
The Department of Film and Media Studies at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for part-time lecturer positions to teach undergraduate courses in film production (general) or an elective in cinematography, sound, or editing during the - academic year.
The salary range per course is $8,.85 - $9,.48.
Applicants must have a MFA in Film Production or a related field in hand by June 30, . Preferred candidates will be an experienced practitioner, with strong pedagogy expertise and professional contacts in industry, public, or independent media sectors.
University-level teaching experience in Film and Media Studies is preferred. Candidates with a specialization in community expression that is, a commitment to underrepresented stories and voices are especially welcomed.
Experience teaching the key competencies / skills of film production is expected.
