Position Summary:

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for overseeing infusion pharmacy operations and clinical activities to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient care, while meeting regulatory and organizational policy compliance. Responsible for the development and execution of short- and long-term strategic plans, development, and growth. Provides leadership and oversight for training, education, and competency of pharmacy staff. Builds cohesive, service-oriented team through recruitment, training and development, engagement, and retention. Ensures compliance with all Federal and State regulations, and departmental policies. Develops and implements sustainable policies and procedures, provides oversight of payroll and scheduling, and provides staffing support as necessary. Provides leadership and oversight for medication safety and security. The Director of Infusion Pharmacy Services coordinates and administers the pharmacy quality assurance and quality control initiatives, as well as identifies opportunities to improve services through the use of technology and automation May serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge for the areas of oversight, as required.

Salary Range:

Annual Rate
Minimum$154,200.00 Midpoint$237,600.00 Maximum $321,000.00

Required Qualifications:
Financial management and analysis skills consistent with budgetary responsibilities
Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change
Ability to read and correctly interpret complex regulations, contracts and policies
Registered Pharmacist in good standing licensed by the state of California
Demonstrated experience in project coordination and implementation of programs
Ability to use computerized systems, applications, such as Microsoft Office, medication and safety technologies, and automated dispensing equipment
Must possess State of California Pharmacist License in good standing within 12 months of hire
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
At least 7years of hospital or infusion pharmacy experience, with minimum 5 years in a supervisory role
Working knowledge of sterile compounding, USP797/800, and non-sterile compounding, USP795

Preferred Qualifications:
Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy
An advanced administrative degree (M.S., M.H.A., M.P.H., M.B.A.)
Prior successful leadership experience, preferably at a large, multi-hospital organization, in a pharmaceutical procurement role
Board Certification in a related pharmacy specialty
Post-graduate residency training
Previous experience in Oncology Pharmacy preferred
Knowledge and experience using EPIC electronic health record
