UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire a Production Systems Service Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC!

UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Canon, Ricoh, Xerox and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations.

Purpose

The Production Systems Service Specialist is a specialist in the servicing and repair of high volume commercial Printing Systems. The Production Systems Service Specialist is responsible for the coordination of all activities regarding the service of production print machines and customers in their territory. This includes but is not limited to field service activities, pre and post-installation machine service, fiery/controller installation and service, and ongoing training and development. The Production Systems Service Specialist will also be required to maintain performance that is comparable to industry benchmarks while focusing on high levels of customer retention and award-winning service.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this position is as follows:

  • Specializes in the servicing and repair of High Volume (Segment 5 & 6), B&W, Color Graphics, Printing Systems equipment, and enabler hardware
  • Performs Basic Connected installations, sets up the IP address, downloads printer drivers, and provides customer training on printing functions
  • Demonstrates flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
  • Encourages and builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with all co-workers and outside customers and vendors
  • Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned
  • Effectively executes all required territory management, administrative and call handling procedures
  • Works closely with sales partners to maximize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities
  • Maintains and manages their parts inventory with a high degree of accuracy. Responsible for maintaining a "car stock" inventory with a value of $8,000 to $20,000
  • Exhibits professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Achieves expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and level of experience
  • Available to work shifts, standby, and/or on-call as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 6 years industry experience
  • 3 years supporting light production level office equipment (Segments 4 & 5)
  • Strong Computer literacy - Fiery / controller experience is a must
  • Network connectivity experience
  • Konica and Canon experience preferred

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel to client sites
  • Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods at times
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion
