Summary/ Objective

Lead Procurement team as Senior Buyer. Take leadership role in department objectives.

Essential Functions

• Arrange the activity of procurement team on daily basis. Keep priority of customer requests and procurement activity.
• Assure the process flow of parts orders, parts delivery to meet or exceed customer request.
• Assure the process flow of inventory control to meet or exceed company needs.
• Manage department special requests and manage requirements for technical support as required. Promote the improvement of procedures, documents and training.
• Maintain approved vendor list. Promote improvement of vendor quality selections, documentation and feedback. Take lead role on new vendor qualification, site visits.
• Perform purchasing functions to load level our new machine, service parts, facility parts/services, Japan procurement, and inventory parts. Work with Procurement team members daily basis.
• Support management systems of order approvals, p/o approvals, quote tracking. Make continuous improvement in documentation flow.
• Assist Plant Manager/HR in performance reviews, new hires, and other personnel related issues.
• ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system (Plex) co-champion. Assist with all ERP related configuration, training and support.
• Document sharing system (Therefore) co-champion. Assist with all related configuration, training and support.

Travel/Work Authorization

Occasional travel may be required, primarily local during the business day. Some out of the area and overnight travel may be required.

Work Environment

This position primarily works in a professional office environment. Employee must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Additionally, this position is exposed to a manufacturing production facility environment which is often loud and is subject to seasonal temperature changes. When working in the production environment, employees are expected to maintain the highest levels of personal safety through the use of PPE and ensuring that any employee entering specific work areas wear PPE appropriate to the area.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree from two-year college or technical school.
• Three to Five years related experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience.
• Proven oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous multiple area supervisory experience.
• Previous multiple database administrator experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for an eight-hour shift. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. On occasion, employees will be expected to be able to move large packages, and lift loads weighing 50 pounds or more.
