UAB Retail Pharmacy Technician positions are available on dayshift, Monday through Friday and closed on major holidays. Technicians interested should have a strong desire to provide excellent care in a fast paced and patient centered work environment.

UAB Retail Pharmacies provide a unique practice setting by servicing a wide array of patient populations throughout the UAB Health System such as transplant, rheumatology, hepatology.

The responsibilities of this position will include filling prescriptions, answering phones, preparing items for shipping, and assisting with other duties required in the pharmacy. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred. Additional desirable candidate qualities include:

High School diploma or GED required. Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern/extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required. Active registration will be required prior to date of hire.
