UAB Medicine - UA Health Services Foundation... is Hiring a Clinical Administrative Office Specialist II - Pediatric Urology Near Birmingham, AL

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p

Location: Children's of Alabama

Under general supervision with discretion on prioritizing work and according to UAHSF established policies and procedures, this position is responsible for providing
administrative support to Pediatric Urology physicians and nurse practitioners, as well as general operational support to their assigned clinic/department. Maintains
patient records, screens and routes phone calls, schedules patient appointments.

Obtains surgical and x-ray pre-certifications. Serves as liaison to other departments and physicians on patient referrals.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Three years progressive clerical experience. Must be: (1) able to type a minimum of 40-50 words per minute accurately; (2) compose, format, type, edit and distribute correspondence; (3) perform basic math skills; and (4) possess exceptional telephone and customer service skills.

Preferred: Two years reception experience in medical office setting.
