We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Manufacturing Supervisor supporting our manufacturing team, you will be trusted with handling or assisting with leading various productive activities (e.

g., assembly, material forming / shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) and leading manufacturing team(s) to produce sterile pharmaceutical products in Fort Worth, TX.

Planning, advising, and supervising production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume / cost / wastage targets, and quality standards

Collaborating closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor / capital resources

Planning, prioritizing, and leading production line maintenance / downtime to minimize disruptions

Responsible for production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, safety, quality control, scheduling, accounting, and workforce-level

Promoting good relations with the community, government agencies, customers, and union representatives

May conduct or participate in labor negotiations and coordinate wage, salary, and bonus programs following corporate policies

Monitoring, analyzing, and controlling variables, such as labor utilization, raw materials, equipment, and facilities

Auditing production line activities and troubleshooting production variance to identify root causes and ensuring maintenance activities are performed to resolve operating problems and preserve assets (e.g., inspections)

Operating, maintaining, and helping improve the manufacturing process to meet / exceed production goals

Ensuring products are verified according to testing procedures and schedules and the production information is collected, stored, and reported (e.

g., Master Batch Record (MBRs), test results, logs)

Ensuring a safe workplace that aligns with established standards and produces (e.g., cGMP and SOPs) and that they follow Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards

Participating in reviewing, writing, and training of new and revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and MBRs

Setting direction for the team to know what is encouraged of them and why

Planning and scheduling work activities based on changing priorities

Developing team objectives (people, safety, quality, cost, etc.), with upper management then communicating and supervising those objectives to ensure they are met and established

Carrying out HR activities such as ensuring that production lines are staffed adequately, giving performance appraisals, conducting interviews, leading training sessions, counseling associates, and staff and resource utilization

Tracking, evaluating, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as corrective and preventative actions

Planning / assigning duties, tasks, and overtime to team members according to their Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) so that work assignments are carried out timely and efficiently

Ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all team members, under company policies and procedures, as well as employment law

Being responsible for critically reviewing operations for ways to improve regulatory compliance, product quality, and efficiency

Providing a positive work environment that engages the team enabling strong performance, and leading by example

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON :

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 10 yrs; Assoc. 6yrs; M.S. 0 yrs)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
