As we accelerate design and development of new and innovative digital health products at Alcon, a dedicated product manager focusing on software engineering and support experience for the engineer persona is critical for aligning product development with the needs of engineering teams, optimizing processes, enhancing user experience, providing effective support, and fostering continuous improvement. In this role, you will oversee the standardization of DevOps practices, adoption of leading-edge software tools, and drive process improvements for production support metrics and SLAs as new digital health products are deployed to our customers. This role requires strong collaboration and communication with various cross-functional teams including Digital Health Product/Engineering, R&D, IT and Digital Operations, in support of Alcon’s Global Digital Transformation. This will be in our Fort Worth, Texas office and a typical day will include: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for engineering and support experience across all Digital Health Foundational Services, integrating DevOps practices and leading-edge software tools adoption. Work closely with engineering teams to standardize DevOps practices, identify and adopt cutting-edge software tools, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure Digital Health Foundational Services. Lead efforts to improve the customer support experience, including process improvements, revamping L3/L4 production support metrics and SLAs, to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues for newly deployed digital health products. Collaborate with Digital Health, R&D, IT and regional/service teams to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including executive leadership, to provide updates on the status of engineering and support initiatives, key metrics, and strategic direction. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering and support experience, analyze data to find opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous optimization efforts. Perform regular product demos with the larger cross-functional team.
