The Senior Financial Analyst, Food and Mass Team provides financial controls and facilitates key decisions related to trade spend, revenue, waste, other allowances, profitability and return on investments through detailed analyses and insights. The successful individual must be able to analyze and interpret data to draw out insights and drive better business decisions. This person will be subject matter expert on trade planning & execution systems (Apex, Tableau dashboards), sales/trade reconciliations, reporting and analysis. In addition to the Finance Manager, this position supports Customer Business Teams (CBTs), Sales Planning and also HQ stakeholders. Key areas of responsibility include the monitoring and control of trade spending within policy and procedures as well as leading detailed reconciliation reviews of sales and trade plans for both Biscuit and Confectionery categories with the CBT’s. Customer Performance & Analysis Provide financial and analytical support on national accounts and regional grocery sales activities/initiatives Manage monthly Customer P&L analysis and distribution. Business building analysis including customer profitability and partnership in trade efficiency and effectiveness. Report and analyze KPIs including metrics covering revenue tracking, trade spending, unsaleables, other allowances, forecast accuracy and profitability. Ensure data integrity in analyzing sales results and trade. Proactive and responsive business partnering to problem solve opportunities against sales, trade and systems (TPM/CPW/Apex). Controls & Process Improvement Review checkbook reconciliations quarterly with CBT and Center of Excellence partners, identify disconnects and close gaps. Weekly review of all checkbook balances to ensure spending & controls compliance. Coordinate monthly reconnects with CBL’s to review spending, controls and upcoming BU requirements. Provide direction, advice and counsel on trade spending policies and procedures to CBTs. Proactively ensure on-going trade policy compliance through quarterly trade scrubs and monthly trade spend reporting. Support/facilitate trade deduction management. Ensure efficient systems and processes exist to facilitate financial planning analysis and reporting. Collaborate with other finance teams and outsourced business provider (Genpact) to ensure harmonization and implementation of best practices Support internal and external audits. Competencies/Abilities Results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks. Self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously as well as within a cross-functional team. Ability to deal with ambiguity and make something out of nothing. Can think creatively and has foresight regarding long term financial impact of decisions. Presents numbers and results in an organized and confident fashion to senior management, both verbally and in quality presentation decks. Remains calm in a time-sensitive, deadline driven environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required, MBA preferred 3 or more years of experience in Finance is required Experience supporting Commercial teams would be ideal Consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience a strong plus Experience with SAP, Tableau, PowerBI and Hyperion an advantage Highly developed critical thinking skills, quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multi-task against tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication and negotiation skills Exceptional system skills, especially Excel skills Strong influencing and communication skills, and ability to lead informal teams No Relocation support available Business Unit Summary The United States is the largest market in the Mondelēz International family with a significant employee and manufacturing footprint.
