Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervises all parts personnel and inventory.
  • Supervises the stocking, recording and distribution of a large volume of replacement parts for tractors and trailers.
  • Interacts with Shop Supervisors, Maintenance Manager and Service Coordinator in coordinating parts and supplies purchased for the repair shop.
  • Develops and prepares written and oral audits, status reports, and part reports analyses.
  • Arranges for the pick-up and delivery of parts to and from the local vendors.
  • Provides for the addition of stock items and removal of obsolete parts.
  • Determines the proper method of shipping parts into the parts department (Ground, air or any other specified method based on information as to the status of the specific vehicle); expedites the delivery of critically needed items.
  • Inventories parts, supplies, tools and service manuals.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Schedules personnel and all personnel-related issues for this department. Conducts training of all parts personnel related to parts and parts warranty.
  • Manages all purchase orders and invoices for purchased items within the parts department.
  • Ensures the proper entry of all parts related paperwork.
  • Follows purchasing guidelines as set forth by Corporate Maintenance.
  • Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • May include other duties as assigned by Management.

What We’re Looking For:

Education

  • Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in supervision, inventory, purchasing or procurement.
