Company Overview: U.S. Spice Mills is a major supplier of pure spices in the U.S. food industry

since 1986. We are proud to provide high quality spices to large food producers of national

brands that you know and love. As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for a

dedicated Quality Technician to join our quality team and ensure that our products meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Testing and Control:

  • Perform Pre-operational Production checks, swabs and Sieve analysis.
  • Conduct regular quality tests on our spice products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards.
  • Analyze test results and report any discrepancies or deviations to the Quality Control Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.

Sampling:

  • Collect samples of raw materials and finished products before they are dispatched.
  • Send the samples of raw materials and finished product to a third-party lab for testing.
  • Store samples in an organized manner for future reference or testing.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all quality tests, their results, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure that all documents are filled out accurately, in detail, and are organized efficiently.
  • Review documentation for compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills Needed to be successful in this position:

  • Background in the food industry is strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of quality experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with computers and data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • No sensitivity to food or strong spice aromas.
  • Willing to learn and obtain certifications if needed.
  • Desire to be a part of a team and do great work.
