U.S. Marine Corps is Hiring a SECURITY SPECIALIST (ANTI-TERROR/FORCE), NF-0080-04 Near Jacksonville, NC

Duties

What to Expect

  • The incumbent provides internal expertise and coordinates, plans, monitors and manages all Physical Security Systems within the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Camp Lejeune to include Anti-terrorism, Force Protection (FPCON), Physical Security Surveys, and Crime Preventions Surveys.
  • Attends Mission Assurance Council Meetings, ATO Workshop meetings, conducts annual security program reviews, manages vulnerability assessment program, and represents MCCS as the Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) on all anti-terrorism measures to the host installation.
  • Conducts exit briefings with management officials explaining findings, recommendations and answers general questions on security systems, procedures, findings, and reports.
  • Plans and provides training on use of all operational issues dealing with security, prevention and response for crises, as needed or requested.
  • Conducts random security checks and anti-terrorism measures to determine compliance with MCCS, base and USMC policies.
  • Maintains alarm systems conducting testing monthly, fielding service calls, scheduling maintenance, and keeping records of all tests, issues and resolutions.
  • This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Four years experience of physical security systems, to include but not limited to; antiterrorism, physical security surveys, intrusion detection systems and devices, personnel entry control systems, or similar programs.
  • Skill in the delivery of anti-terrorism or similar training in classroom setting.
  • Knowledge that demonstrates the ability to perform a wide range of assessments and investigative techniques and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of business operations.
  • Ability to independently perform assigned tasks, studies/reviews.
  • Knowledge of MCCS programs, regulations, orders, and procedures preferred.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to prepare reports, evaluations and recommendations.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use various software to create databases and prepare reports.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
