Serves as an administrative specialist within the Operations (OPS) Section for the Behavioral Programs Branch (MFC), Marine and Family Programs Division (MF), Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC).
Serves as an administrative specialist within the Operations (OPS) Section for the Behavioral Programs Branch (MFC), Marine and Family Programs Division (MF), Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC).
Participates in the development of the OPS administrative program. Follows MF Future Operations (MFQ) financial policy and procedures to ensure all internal MFC programs and processes are compliant. Provides administrative support to the MFC team for staff travel requests, staff training, conference, and annual budget submissions. Regularly monitors programs, and initiates corrective actions to ensure support and timely execution. Continuously reviews workload accomplishments and plans.
Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Coordinates specifically assigned tasks and solutions for difficult technical problems and the application of new or uncertain techniques and methods, after obtaining clarification and further guidance from leadership. Reviews, interprets, and explains relevant regulatory and legal requirements covered by guidelines. Anticipates problems, recognizes future needs and assists in the development of policies and procedures to accommodate them. Serves as project coordinator and administrative specialist on complex actions/projects to include: monitoring, planning, coordinating, and conducting special reviews/studies/projects to assure timely completion of interfacing actions.
Coordinates with MFQ in support of MFC contractual functions, ensures the smooth proposal, implementation, and administration of MFC contracts. Serves as Branch Action Officer on PR Builder, WAWF, DAI and other procurement software.
Provides direction for administrative operation issues, and delegates or completes administrative tasks within prescribed, often fast-paced, timelines. Will have administrative oversight and will be the primary designee for the Department of the Navy Tasking, Enterprise Task Management System 2.0 (ETMS2) and internal Comms Tool System. Communicates with various levels of staff and outside representatives to coordinate specific requirements. Collects, compiles, and organizes information and data to meet administrative requirements. Prepares correspondence, and drafts instructions. Facilitates methods for automating reports and correspondence in compliance with Naval correspondence regulations. Utilizes a computer to transmit correspondence, and uses data to create reports, databases, spreadsheets, graphics, slide shows, and presentations. Develops information for recurring and one-time reports/responses and presentations to all levels of management. Assists in development and presentation of complex, critical issues in formal and informal, oral and written communications to executive level personnel.
Works closely with the Branch Administrative Assistant and may perform support functions such as planning special events; preparing and conducting briefs, presentations, and training sessions; and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor¿s degree in administration, business, finance, accounting, or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND three years of experience in the occupation or a related field OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Demonstrated expert knowledge and skill in budget development and execution; in government contract development and execution; and in planning, organizing, and directing multiple, high-visibility activities, with demonstrated excellent in customer service. Ability to effectively communicate orally or in writing and to prepare documentation and presentations in accordance with naval correspondence rules of grammar and punctuation. Ability to handle unusual problems during the planning, negotiating, and execution phases of events. Broad knowledge of administrative practices and principles. Skill to operate a personal computer and associated peripheral equipment and software; to deal effectively with employees at various levels in the organization; and to represent the branch with external customers.
