Job Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our SBP team in the Building Materials industry. As a Merchandiser, you will play a key role in maximizing sales and profitability by ensuring proper product placement and presentation in our customers’ stores. Your creative thinking and effective communication skills will be critical in executing merchandising strategies and driving customer engagement.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and store operations to develop and implement effective in-store merchandising plans. Additionally, you will oversee sample inventory management and ensure shelves are properly stocked.

Responsibilities

• Optimize product placement and presentation in stores, ensuring shelves are properly stocked and visually appealing.
• Train and educate store staff on effective merchandising techniques and product knowledge.
• Develop and implement effective in-store merchandising plans, ensuring products are strategically placed to maximize visibility and sales.
• Monitor market trends and conduct competitor research to identify opportunities for promotional activities.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute promotional events and campaigns.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for visual presentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a challenging environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
• Flexibility to travel overnight occasionally to store locations.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Self-directed requiring limited supervision.
