Job Summary:
Walters is looking for driven, hardworking individuals that are excited to join the electrical distributing industry. The ideal candidate is ready to work hard, and learn every facet of our industry. This full-time 18-24 month program will begin in our Central Distribution Center in Brea, California. The program consists of 6 - 8 rotations that vary in length from a couple weeks to a couple months. Each rotation will allow a trainee to learn at a different facility, all located in Southern California. The knowledge gained in each rotation will be built upon in the next.
A trainee can expect to learn every facet of the organization; including warehouse, counter sales, purchasing, quotes, credit, accounts payable, inside sales, and outside sales. Each step in the program will be supported by hands on and on-line training. Around the 12-month mark, you will work with your manager to determine your preferred course of study and then specialized in preparing you for either a sales or management career.
Throughout the program, you will be mentored by various industry specialists, allowing you to train with the very best! In addition, you will complete training through NAED-EPEC as well as our very own, Walters University.
