U.S. Department of the Treasury is Hiring a Program Analyst Near Denver, CO

Duties
This position may be filled at one of the following locations: Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO.
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
  • Brief and prepare reports to advise the SAC/Director of work product plans, progress, and findings and recommendations.
  • Develop and provide recommendations to the SAC/Director to resolve problems on a wide variety of assignments, which are not always conducive to direct observation and analysis.
  • Perform broad analysis and provide feedback to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of investigations conducted in OI in meeting established goals and objectives.
  • Prepare SAC/Director-level memoranda, which include documents that are transmitted to Headquarters for SES-level review.
  • Serve as the Divisional technical representative and system administrator for law enforcement and IRS-related applications (e.g., Automated Labor and Employee Relations Tracking System, Integrated Data Retrieval System, TECS, NIBRS, PACER, JEFS, etc.).

QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-11, Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-09 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
  • Collecting and/or analyzing documentation to assess risk, develop project strategy and/or support project objectives; AND
  • Communicating status or results of work to internal or external management; AND
  • Collecting, analyzing and summarizing evidence to support conclusions
OR
You may possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLM. Only graduate level education in excess of the first two years 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
OR
You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent.
For the GS-09, Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-07 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
  • Collecting and/or analyzing documentation to assess risk, develop project strategy and/or support project objectives; AND
  • Communicating status or results of work to internal or external management.
OR
Masters or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LLB or JD.
OR
You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered as qualifying education.
For the GS-07, Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-05 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
  • Collecting documentation to assess risk, and support project objectives;
OR
One full year of graduate level education in a related field;
OR
Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelors degree that is demonstrated through class standing (upper 1/3 of class), grade point average (2.95/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major); OR, election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society. You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent.
Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-11, you must have been at the GS-09 level for 52 weeks.
For the GS-09, you must have been at the GS-07 level for 52 weeks.
For the GS-07, you must have been at the GS-05 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Education
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.

The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
