The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst. You will be responsible for the Training Division's budget formulation and execution; management of contracts and procurement; property management; the body armor program; formulation of administrative policies and good business practices; the preparation of management reports, etc.

Duties
As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-14 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Responsible for budget development, presentation, and justification for the USMS Training Division.
Provides technical and policy advice and guidance for work accomplishment.
Exercises full supervisory responsibility over subordinate positions.
Establishes and maintains liaison with officials of other USMS offices and other federal agencies, to include FLETC, in order to exchange key information and further the interests of the United States Marshals Service.

Requirements
Conditions of Employment
Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening.
This is a Testing Designated Position and is subject to random drug testing.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
All qualification requirements for this position must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
Qualifications
GS-14 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0343-14 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:
Have one year of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1) Formulating and executing an organization's budget; 2) Supervising and evaluating the work of others; 3) Interpreting and implementing policy guidance that impacts an organizational program and 4) Analyzing existing procedures to identity more efficient and effective methods for accomplishing program objectives.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
