Duties
As a Lead Financial Management Analyst, you will:
Managing processes for major financial reporting cycles.
Analyzing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports of obligations and expenditures.
Recommending solutions to program managers to address budget shortages and fiscal problems.
Conducting monthly, quarterly and annual year-end-closing activities and performing reconciliation with accounting.
Participating in setting objectives with senior managers to meet short and long-term budget needs of the organization's programs.
Preparing for, facilitating, and responding to Department of State and other external audits, including review of obligations, revenue, payment and internal controls.
Managing the workload for an assigned team of analysts, technicians, trainees and contractor employees, determining priorities in conjunction with senior management.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level. Examples of specialized experience must include duties such as: reviewing and coordinating accounting records and preparing budget execution documents; providing guidance on a full range of financial activities and functions, including the validity of expenditures and procedures for processing budget requests; and recommending solutions to address budget shortages and fiscal problems.
