Summary
You will serve as a Detention Contract Monitor responsible for ensuring compliance with USMS detention and transportation contracts, and applicable detention standards.
This position is located in the Prisoner Operations Division / the physical location for the position will be one of the following duty stations:
Florence, AZ
El Centro, CA
San Diego, CA
Pahrump, NV

Duties
As a Detention Contract Monitor at the GS-1101-13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitoring contractor compliance with the terms and conditions of long-term, high-value contracts for prisoner detention and transportation services.
Coordinating with vendors to ensure corrective action plans resolve resolve areas of non-compliance.
Reconciling vendor invoices to ensure funds are properly obligation, certified, and paid.
Maintaining contract administration files.
Preparing a variety of contract-related reports.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Monitoring contractor compliance with terms & conditions through periodic reviews, site visits and inspections, and/or customer feedback;
Applying industry standards to the quality assurance review process;
Working with contracting officers, vendors, and customers to ensure deficiencies are corrected; and
Using a document control system to ensure contract documents are created, approved, distributed, and archived systematically throughout their lifecycle.
