Job Description

U.S. Bank is looking for a Talent Consultant (Senior HRBP) to join the Consumer and Business Banking Human Resources team, supporting the Retail Branch Banking Leadership team in the  East Region. In this role, you’ll provide human capital strategy to the regional executive. The person in this role is chartered to understand the business strategies of consumer banking and translate that into an effective workforce strategy that enables the business and growth strategies. Formerly referred to as Senior Human Resources Business Partners, the Talent Consultant role has evolved to provide a greater focus on strategy while partnering with our centers of excellence to ensure a continuity in tactical support coverage. With the support of a robust system of centers of excellence (Recruiting, Talent and Culture, DEI, Learning and Development, People Analytics, Employee services and HR Strategy and Operations), Talent consultants can focus on large-scale talent challenges and opportunities.

Talent consultants partner closely with leaders on a wide variety of talent topics, including:

  • Organizational design effectiveness, and workforce analysis

  • Internal mobility, strategic talent planning, review, succession planning

  • Talent upskilling/reskilling, training, learning and development

  • Transformation and Change management

Location and Travel: Hybrid in posted locations. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. Role may travel up to 50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically has 10 more years of human resources, business or managerial experience

 Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Ideal candidate has worked in a financial services/banking or retail industries and possesses business acumen

  • Experience with non-exempt employee population is helpful

  • Highly skilled communicator and listener

  • Demonstrated skills as a collaborative partner within an HR model that relies on COE partnership

  • Strategic HR partner with experience supporting executives as a trusted advisor

  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, recognize trends and recommend action

  • Ability to recognize needs, solve problems, anticipate issues, and develop employee centric solutions using strong analytical, business and financial acumen

  • Highly skilled interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, particularly in building relationships with business leaders and presenting to senior leaders

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $123,165.00 - $144,900.00 - $159,390.00Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need. Job postings in areas with a high volume of applicants, such as customer service, contact center, and Financial Crimes investigations, remain open for approximately 5 days of the posting listed date.
