Job Description

U.S. Bank National Association is seeking the position of Senior Data Scientist (multiple positions) in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work with Model Risk Governance Team to ensure data models comply with the Bank's, industry, and agency risk standards;

• Audit built tools and models to ensure tools perform as planned and to ensure stakeholder satisfaction;

• Integrate advanced analytics tools with advanced reporting capabilities to provide insight to variety of audiences from RMs to Market Leaders;

• Serve as thought leader and subject matter expert in commercial and corporate banking priorities, guiding the team on future key projects;

• Play an active role in mentoring EAA team interns and coach junior analysts in various functions of the team;

• Lead discussions in strategic initiatives around Business Development Plans, Risk Management effectiveness, Salesforce pipeline and Revenue estimation;

• Use expertise in Commercial and Corporate Banking as well as Machine Learning to serve as liaison responsible for collaborating with Marketing Analytics, Deposit Analytics, and Product Analytics regarding analytics solution translation, prioritizing analytics initiatives, developing time efficient quick to market advanced analytic solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Master's degree in Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with risk and data analysis to drive business strategy.

Required Skills/Experience:

Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following:

Developing data driven strategic initiatives to enhance business performance;

Performing marketing analysis and complex custom reporting segmentation analysis;

Forecast modeling;

Machine learning algorithm development;

Driving interactive data visualization using Microsoft Power BI;

A/B testing, AWS, Hadoop, Hive, IBM Cognos, MongoDB, MS Excel for modeling and reporting, Python, Spark, SQL, and Tableau.
