Job Description
U.S. Bancorp Investments (U.S. Bancorp Investments is a part of the U.S. Bank family) is seeking the full-time position of Fixed Income Assoc. Director – Trader in Charlotte, NC.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for improving trader workflows and creating new analytical tools. Provide quantitative analytics to facilitate and optimize trading and risk management. Additional specificduties include: (1) research and day-to-day support to improve pricing tools and integration into production systems; (2) use data science and statistics to produce data-driven insights fortrading purposes; (3) monitor performance of trading tools and platform to identify opportunities for improvement; (4) analyze and report on trading profitability and market share data; (5)assist in the design of new trading tools and systems on the Municipal Trading Desk; (6) generate ideas to automate workflows to assist more clients in their trading needs; (7) minimizeinterest rate exposure by optimizing hedge ratios through security analysis; (8) build municipal bond pricing tools capable of accurately pricing large numbers of RFQ/bid wanted to serviceclient needs; (9) work in quantitative research and data science; (10) utilize Municipal and Credit market trading experience; (11) work with object-oriented programming languages, suchas Python; and (12) implement knowledge of electronic trading platforms and protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or Data Science and 5 years quantitative trading and investment strategy experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24months of experience with each of the following: 1) Designing algorithms for relative value and market microstructure research; 2) Using applied statistics and machine learning for priceforecasting and portfolio and risk analysis; 3)Implementing systematic trading strategies and systems; 4) Hedging strategies for US swap, treasury bonds and futures, ED future and rateoptions; and 5)Must have experience with all of the following: interest rate derivatives, securitized products, credit derivatives, and equity and equity derivatives. Will accept experiencegained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $92,851 - $200,000
