Job Description

The Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Affirmative Action (AA) Specialist will monitor and evaluate compliance with equal opportunity laws, guidelines, and policies to ensure that employment practices and contracting arrangements give equal opportunity without regard to characteristics prohibited by law. The workload of this role requires knowledge of: EEO program administration, HR regulatory compliance and monitoring state(s) and federal law changes, and records management. Gathers, compiles, and interprets data necessary for external (government) and internal EEO compliance, reporting, and monitoring. Data may include recruitment, hiring, terminations, promotions, disciplinary actions, salaries, applicant flows, and transfers. Will work under general supervision and perform a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of EEO and AA.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically five or more years of Human Resource experience and at least one year of EEO/AA related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements and related employment laws/regulations
  • Ability to prepare affirmative action plans
  • Ability to maintain documented procedures and to respond to internal risk or external audits
  • Ability to see trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to new situations, collaborate with team members, and work under pressure with limited supervision, when necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Ability to work independently to follow-through on deliverables, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write and run reports from Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) like Workday, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, etc. a plus
Location: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $90,100.00 - $106,000.00 - $116,600.00Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
