TZVECL is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Lakewood, CO

We are searching for a highly motivated and skilled Optometric Technician to become an integral part of our dynamic team, dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care services. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our optometrists, ensuring a seamless patient experience, and contributing to the overall success of our clinic. We take pride in fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, where teamwork with front desk, opticians, and the clinic manager is fundamental to our clinic's success.

Responsibilities: 

Patient Care and Pre-Testing:

  • Cultivate a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for patients, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Perform accurate and efficient pre-testing and diagnostic procedures, including, but not limited to: lensometry, visual acuity, tonometry, retinal imaging, OCT scans, and other preliminary screenings.
  • Collaborate with optometrists to provide comprehensive data for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Patient, Product and Equipment Support: 

  • Assist opticians as they work with patients in selecting frames aligned with their style preferences and visual needs.
  • Conduct lensometry 
  • Collaborate with optometrists to seamlessly integrate contact lens services into patient care plans to include, but not limited to aiding in contact lens fittings, instructions, and ongoing support for patients.
  • Monitor and maintain optometric equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.

Team Collaboration and Growth: 

  • Work closely with fellow team members, including optometrists, front desk staff, and fellow technicians, fostering a unified and supportive clinic environment.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure the smooth flow of patient care processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, optometric advancements, and new technologies.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance individual and team skills.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as an optometric technician or in a related role is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
