Location : Timberlake Farm, Timpson, TX 75975

Schedule : Monday through Friday apx 7am to 4pm. May be required to work over or on a weekend when needed. Schedule Includes Holidays.

Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

Starting Wage : $17.00

Plus, additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.

Position Summary :

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing on-farm infrastructure to prevent rodent access to chicken houses and other structures on the farm.

Will also be responsible for feed delivery to the houses and tracking feed inventory. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements :

• Education : Must be able to read, write, and have simple math skills. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet company’s requirements to operate a company vehicle.
• Must be willing to obtain a forklift, scissor lift and a hot work certification. Will be required to operate a Feed Truck.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Requires use of hand tools such as drills, saws, metal cutters, hammers, etc; and safe operation of vehicle to and from work areas.
• Prepares feed tickets; orders and maintains inventory, records feed deliveries / deliver feed (20%) Weekly feed deliveries and maintains current feed inventory levels to prepare for upcoming orders (10%)
• Use of tape measure to construct / repair houses, etc.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Will be required to order and pick up supplies needed from local vendors.
• Maintain log of daily repairs.
• Orders parts; cleans and maintains shop area (10%)
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Biosecurity / Animal Welfare Requirements :

The jobsite is a bio secure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility.

Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing.

Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

• Physical : Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift to 60 pounds. Will occasionally be required to ascend / descend a caged ladder 197 feet high.
• Excessive walking, bending, and lifting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (concrete floor);

walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception;

and the ability to adjust focus. Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.

• Tools and Equipment : Requires use of hand tools and power tools; safe operation of vehicle to and from work areas.
• Environment : Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and work in hot, dry, extreme dusty, wet, and cold environments.
• Personal Protective Equipment Required : Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required.

Hearing protection will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed. Hard Hats, Reflective vests and Safety Shoes will be worn as needed.

• Chemicals Commonly Used : Disinfectants such as Synergize, Glutex, rodenticides, insecticides, bleach, and Lysol, etc.
• Safety : Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment Required : Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required.

Hearing protection will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed. Hard Hats, Reflective vests and Safety Shoes will be worn as needed.
