Reports To: Store Manager
Supervises: Department Managers & Sales Associates
General Purpose of Position: As part of the management team, an Operations Assistant Manager works directly with the Store Manager to ensure the day-to-day management and operations expectations of the retail store are being met. The Operations Assistant Manager helps with implementing strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy amongst all processes and procedures within the business in an effort to increase profitability. An Assistant Manager is a leader and must have the ability to make informed decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when the Store Manager is not present.
Responsibilities/Duties
· Responsible for ensuring the highest level of efficiency and organization amongst all store processes and procedures.
· Assists with orientation, training, coaching, and developing staff members to understand and execute operational expectations.
· Responsible for ensuring all processes and procedures within shipping & receiving are being completed to company standards.
· Responsible for the execution and organization of all paperwork relating to store operations and procedures.
· Responsible for ensuring all outgoing internet orders are completed in accordance with the guidelines established by the e-commerce department.
· Ensures that back stock merchandise is stored and handled in accordance with Tyler’s policies, strategies, and procedures.
· Oversees compliance of sales associates with established company policies and standards.
· Handles inventory discrepancies and defective returns as soon as possible while abiding by the adjustment policy.
· Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
· Communicates with the Store Manager and Merchandiser to establish product flow expectations within the receiving department.
· Upholds specific department goals, cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management.
· Works with Sales Manager and Store Manager to schedule for optimum effectiveness and profitability.
· Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
· Processes sales transactions, returns, and special orders, and ensures that all related documentation is accurate and complete.
· Ensures safekeeping of all TYLER’S property.
· Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.
· Assists in management of sales floor and staff.
· Keeps the Store Manager well informed of activities and significant issues.

· Ability to manage store operations effectively and efficiently.
· Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to staff members.
· Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Requirements
· Available to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Must have at least 3 years of high volume operations manager experience or 3 years of low volume store manager experience.
· Availability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
