Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospice Director to oversee all aspects of our hospice program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational management, and clinical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. The Hospice Director will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that promote excellence in hospice care and support the organization’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the hospice team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other staff members.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives to enhance the quality and efficiency of hospice services.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards governing hospice care.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of hospice staff members.
• Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote awareness of hospice services and expand referral networks.
• Monitor and analyze clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning within the hospice team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Texas; Hospice and Palliative Care Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in end-of-life care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
