Job Category Engineering & Science Position Summary The Project Engineering position focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project. An Experienced Professional position applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. This position must be able to work independently with general supervision and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. Job title and salary will be commensurate with experience level. Responsibilities Responsibilities: • Works on project engineering problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals • Prepares project plans, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of key project deliverables. • Monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays • Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources necessary to complete the project • May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors • Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: BS in Engineering minimum 2 years relevant experience in the Petro-Chem Industry Minimum Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience Bridgestone is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
