About You

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) HR Partner will help foster a consultative relationship in developing proactive people and DEIB strategies that support the mission, values and strategic direction of the organization. 

A Typical Day

  • Manage the annual DEIB calendar, including providing logistical planning, coordination, and support for DEIB events and initiatives, as well as stakeholder meetings and agendas. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, implementing solutions, analyzing the results, and deciding to iterate, pivot, or stay the course. 
  • Develops and implements with other team members complex initiatives where the impact is significant in supporting the customer's needs. initiatives include employee retention, talent assessment, compensation planning (equity, bonus, merit), and leadership development.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Create effective relationships and serve as a trusted people advisor to identify and achieve shared objectives, coach and support leaders with their talent and people plans. 
  • Actively drive TASB's diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging strategy through an integrated approach across business units and touch points of the employee life cycle. 
  • Serve as the chair of the association's Learning, Equity, Advocacy, and Diversity Advisory (LEAD) Council. 
  • Be a part of a team to implement a revised HR operating model, including creating and managing project plans and timelines to build process efficiencies while leveraging technology and effective communications strategies. 

Skills for Success

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, organizational development, or a related field from an accredited university. 
  • 3 years of professional work experience and broad understanding and track record of coordinating organization wide DEIB initiatives and program implementation and experience as an HR Partner supporting achievement of business objectives. 
  • PHR/PHR-CA, SPHR/SPHR-CA, SHRM-CP, or SHRC-SCP preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Ability to adapt, deal with ambiguity and learn quickly. 
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, peak up and help others see things from other perspectives. 
  • Experience with HRIS, Excel, PowerBI and/or other software in creating dashboards, analyzing, and monitoring data and trends to measure and report the effectiveness of programs in a way that brings value to the business. 
  • Ability to create project plans, set milestones, delegate tasks, and track progress. 
  • Highest level of integrity in managing confidential and sensitive information. 
  • Excellent communication skills with high emotional intelligence. 
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a wide range of audiences. 

Work Environment

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
  • Position involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing in carrying out job duties.
  • May be required to lift and move up to 10lbs. at a time.

  • Occasional travel for meetings or events with remote and hybrid employees.
