The Two Rivers Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the position of:

Part-time Custodial/Maintenance

The successful applicant for this position will:

· Possess the ability to move or lift furniture, supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds

· Have the ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, lift and reach

· Possess the ability to stand or walk for extended periods

· Possess the ability to remember and follow simple oral and written instructions and to follow daily routines without supervision

· The candidate must be able to strip and wax floors

· This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and custodial care for the Transit Building and adjacent grounds; including cleaning, waste removal, replenishing of supplies, general building maintenance and various other responsibilities.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, dusting offices, meeting rooms and other work areas. Is required to strip wax and polish floors; polishes furniture, cleans and maintains rest rooms and replenishes supplies; collects and removes waste and washes walls and windows.
• Checks heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units for proper operation, performs minor maintenance on equipment and buildings; unclogs blocked sinks and toilets, maintains door locks and window glass and reports the need for major repairs
• Secures buildings, moves furniture and equipment, arranges tables and chairs for meetings, deliver supplies and run errands
• Maintains grounds, sweeps sidewalks, shovels snow and ice, spreads salt and removes litter around buildings.
• May cut grass, trim shrubs and rake leaves as needed
