Two Palms Care Center is Hiring a Dietary Aide (full-time) Near Pasadena, CA

Two Palms is looking for a fun and dynamic Dietary/Aide Cook to join our team.

Position Overview:

  • The Dietary Aide assists in trayline, dishwashing, storing, preparation, and service of meals as directed by the Dietary Director/Manager and Lead Cook
  • The Dietary Aide must be detail-oriented, well-groomed, act professionally, and must be a team player who works well with others
  • Must prepare, deliver, handle, and clean food in accordance with our policies and procedures, and, as may be directed by the Food Services Director/Manager or Cook
  • The Dietary Aide keeps record, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen according to health and safety standards
  • Must be able to assist and take orders from the Dietary Director/Manager and Lead Cook in preparation, delivery, storing, and cleaning process of the kitchen

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training in foodservice is desirable
  • Ability to read, understand English, follow directions, and complete tasks
  • Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
  • Dependable, with experience working in facilities of mass and quality food production methods
  • General knowledge and understanding of nutrition
  • Ability to read and accurately apply requirements of food onto food trays
  • Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, client, staff, and other personnel and the public
  • Must embody great customer service, cleaniness, professionalism, and eagerness to learn and assist

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 40 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 60 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products

Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday 11:30AM-8:00PM
