TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Florence, SC

We are looking for an energetic team member to provide leadership for our moving crews and manage the daily operational aspects of the business. In this role you will work with customers, vendors, and all staff members to meet established operating goals and standards. Join our growing team today!

  • Salary pay – negotiable starting at $45,000.
Job Responsibilities
  • Determine staffing requirements and facilitate the hiring process; coordinate employee scheduling, truck assignments, and dispatch of move crew
  • Create and maintain programs to manage box sales, uniform costs, damage processes, hiring, the storage process. etc.
  • Cultivates a positive and safe company culture
  • Establishes guidelines and expectations for employee accountability and adherence to franchise and system standards and policies; Ensures consistent adherence to all standards
  • Ensures participation in appropriate training and development programs for staff
  • Coordinate and direct equipment inventory
  • Lead mover/driver training; responsible for team development and motivation
  • Serve as the “on-call” contact outside of normal business hours
  • Complete performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction; oversee damage resolution process
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to lead by example to motivate, develop and direct people
  • Experienced public speaker; at ease moderating large groups
  • Ability to coordinate own and others’ actions, manage own time and manage personnel resources
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to look ahead and plan accordingly
  • Ability to assess the performance of self, employees, and franchise to make improvements or corrective action plans
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to customer service and the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® core values
  • The desire to continue learning at all times. The willingness to grow with a small, family company.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and must maintain a good driving record
  • Physical stamina to assist with lifting/carrying 100 lbs. or more
  • Proficient with the following Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens
Work is generally performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards, however, occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds may be necessary. Local travel in a company vehicle may be required.
