The Accounts Receivable Specialist performs a variety of accounts receivable functions in accordance with standard procedures within the accounting department, including internal and external customer support and relations. This position proactively works with and supports all business units to ensure all tasks related to accounts receivable are performed in an accurate and timely fashion and with adherence to the company’s internal policies and controls.

What you’ll do:
Supports the accuracy and efficiency of the billing process including producing invoices and statements; applying for credits and reviewing transactions to ensure delivery, clearance, and documentation
Prepares cash applications and supports the accuracy and efficiency of the cash applications process; applies payments received from customers via check, ACH, and wire.
Takes appropriate action with delinquent accounts in terms of account reconciliation, research, and troubleshooting along with assisting customers with billing discrepancies
Provides a high level of customer service including answering account questions, scheduling payments, and resolving concerns
Communicates with the team efficiently regarding the activity of daily operations in order to meet deadlines efficiently along with serving as contributing team member to project teams related to Accounts Receivable
Assists with monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable as well as month-end reporting
Performs duties and supports special projects as directed and requested by the manager or director
What we are looking for:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail; able to methodically review the execution of procedures and identify issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to utilize appropriate analysis, judgment, and logic.
Ability to work in a team setting and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 Office skills
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Experience in Accounting (Accounts Receivable) or Customer Service is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or combination of education and equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
