Field Soils Technician - Fountain Valley

Twining Consulting, an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company is seeking a Field Soils Technician to work based out of our Fountain Valley office.

Candidate must be self-starting, be proactive, focus and detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

Provide grading observations.
Provide compaction testing on soils, aggregates and asphalt.
Document project grading activities.
Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete and/or grout.
Provide special inspections per additional inspection certifications in accordance with approved project documents.

Required Competencies:

Nuclear gauge usage certification.
ACI Field Technician Grade 1 license.
ICC Soils Inspector License is a plus.
ICC Reinforced Concrete is a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors and potential clients.

This position will travel to various construction sites in the Southern California area.
